Hi all! I wanted to take a second to officially share this video on my blog. I've been wanting to make a video for a long time now but the thought of seeing myself on camera was intimidating. No joke! I don't particularly like the sound of my voice let alone seeing my face staring back at me 😒. But more important than my personal shortcoming is encouraging my fellow christian introverts. So Here it is! Straight form my YouTube Channel "The Screaming Introvert". Here, I discuss struggles and impact that the more extroverted Evangelical movement has on those of us who are more quite and reflective. I don't know about you but when some people's natural tenancies are placed on a spiritual pedestal   as an example of how very christian should live their lives, that's a huge problem. Could you imagine what it would be like if a subtle message went out that said "A true Christian woman wears her hair long and straight."? What about those of us w...

Going Home.

Lately, whats been screaming on my mind is that December could be considered the most bustling yet reflective months there is.  Many of us are trying to put the previous year in perspective all while trying to juggle a calendar with not enough days on it. Some of us welcome this busyness. December offers us a chance to spread warm greetings to loved ones and friends. Its a time to 'Go Home' to time honored family traditions and familiar embraces. But for millions, December is a time to face all that isn't. The holidays can be extremely painful if we are constantly reminded that there is no 'Home' to go  to.  By 'Going Home' I'm referring to that warm familiar place (physical or metaphorical) that most look forward to this time of year. A lot of us can identify with the statement  "I grew up in a dysfunctional home" . So if this is true, then its safe to say that a lot of us don't have precious family tradi...

Thanksgiving is a Holiday like no other. No matter our religion or belief style, We pause from our hectic lives to give Thanks for all we have. Its during this time that we often realize that most of the good things in life are out of our control. Take good health for instance, we can exercise and eat healthy but we really don't have control of our hearts continuing to beat regularly or our lungs working in top shape. Most of us haven't gotten into a serious accident over the past year but much of that was out of our control. Its in the gifts that I had no control over that find myself most thankful for. In sharing this list with you, I hope you can find joy and gratitude in the big and little blessings you have. The blessing in my life are so many that I could never write a complete list. But many of us (myself included) don't even stop to think of 10 things to be grateful for on any given day. So lets dive in! Here is my list of 100 Things I'm Thankful For!...

I'm a Screming Introvert.

Hello Friends! I'm Melonie.  I'm an Introverted* working wife and mother in Chicago I Love Jesus and Hate Small talk. No, seriously, I really do hate meaningless chatter about superficial things If you ever saw me in a room full of people, it would probably be well after an hour or so of me being there. Lets just say I don't particularly stand out in a crowd and I've never been the 'life of the party' type. Its only after setting with me for a bit that one can appreciate who I am. For  My views are unique and my observations are keen.  Most of the time I can be seen rushing to and from work when I'm not engaging in some sort of creative hobby or DIY project.  I have this feeling that my fellow introverts are going through what I am; that desire to connect with others in a meaningful and inspirational way but lack the social savvy and quick wit that our more extroverted counterparts are so good at. For me, my most meaningful conversatio...
